Lead Scheduler

SAIC is seeking an experienced Lead Scheduler to join our team. As a key member of our program management team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining enterprise-level integrated master schedules (IMS) using MS Project. Your expertise will be utilized to determine critical tasks and their interdependencies across the program, ensuring timely completion of project milestones.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule Management: Present IMS data in a clear and concise manner, consistent with accepted schedule management techniques and processes.
- Program Support: Support task order managers with schedule status reviews and schedule update meetings.
- Analysis and Reporting: Identify cost, schedule, and performance trends; and prepare reports and graphs to present status to IPT and Senior Manager.
- Integrated Baseline Reviews: Integrate IMS schedule analysis and assist with planning and execution of Integrated Baseline Reviews.
- Critical Path Analysis: Conduct Critical Path Analysis to identify critical tasks and their dependencies.
- Schedule Risk Analysis: Conduct Schedule Risk Analysis (SRAs) to identify potential schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Resource Management: Maintain resources, processes, and procedures with data tracking and analysis.
- Project Baseline: Establish Project Baseline Schedule consistent with PMI best practices.
- Schedule Status Updates: Provide monthly schedule status updates (at minimum) incorporating task completion status and/or variance to execution baseline.
- Education: Bachelor's degree and 3 years or more of related experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- MS Project Expertise: Experience developing resource-loaded integrated master schedules using MS Project (advanced preferred).
- Project Management: Experience creating a project baseline for each project and monitoring project progress against that baseline and developing solutions for mitigating schedule risk.
- Schedule Analysis: Experience providing impact analysis of schedule changes; identifying schedule variances and opportunities and proactively developing mitigation strategies.
- Critical Path Determination: Demonstrated expert knowledge in determining the critical path and performing schedule status updates.
- POA&M and Risk Management: Understanding of plan of action and milestones (POA&M) and risk factors impacting schedule.
- Staff and Resource Management: Experience managing and updating daily task tracking.
- Military Structure and Terminology: Basic understanding of military structure and terminology.
- Soft Skills: Must be self-motivated, proactive, efficient, professionally motivated, conscientious, loyal, punctual, and team player and work well independently with only general direction.
