Framing Sales Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Sales Manager to lead our custom framing team at Michaels Arts and Crafts. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for driving sales, coaching and developing a team of framers, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Coach the Framing Team: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance team performance.
- Drive Custom Framing Sales: Identify opportunities to increase sales, develop and execute sales plans, and build strong relationships with customers.
- Assist Customers: Provide expert advice and guidance to customers on framing solutions, ensuring a memorable and satisfying experience.
- Manage Store Conditions and Results: Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and SOPs, and hold team members accountable for store conditions and results.
- Develop and Coach Selling Behaviors: Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance team members' selling skills and behaviors.
- Lead the Delivery of High-Quality Custom Framing Solutions: Plan workload with the Store Manager, ensure timely delivery of high-quality framing solutions, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Achieve KPIs and Manage Team Performance: Set and achieve individual and team KPIs, manage team performance, and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
- Manage Inventory and Shrink Programs: Execute inventory management processes, manage shrink programs, and maintain a safe and secure work environment.
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD): Assume responsibility for store operations, customer service, and team performance during scheduled MOD shifts.
- Participate in Talent Development and Performance Management: Support with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing, and training of new team members, and participate in performance management activities.
- Interact with Team Members and Customers: Foster a positive and respectful work environment, interact with team members and customers in an accepting and respectful manner, and promote a positive image of the company.
- Participate in Truck Unload and Stocking Processes: Ensure truck standards are followed, and participate in the unloading and stocking of merchandise.
- Follow SOPs and Company Programs: Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and SOPs, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other software applications.
- Previous Custom Framing Experience: Previous experience in custom framing, retail management, and leading a sales team is preferred.
Our store is a public retail setting with a climate-controlled environment. Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and some outdoor work may be required. The frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
