Job Overview: As a vital member of the BCP Maintenance team, the Engineer III is responsible for overseeing the design and installation of new or replacement electrical and automation systems. This role includes developing standards for reliability and establishing guidelines for engineering and maintenance activities related to these systems, ensuring that engineering documentation and technical information remain current.

Additionally, the Engineer III will manage daily maintenance tasks for equipment and systems under their purview.

The Engineer III may also assist with other maintenance tasks during equipment failures, line shutdowns, or scheduled maintenance periods as necessary.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and implement enhancements to process equipment using a reliability-centered maintenance approach.
  • Lead the design and execution of electrical projects and initiatives within the facility.
  • Develop comprehensive shutdown work plans for electrical system upgrades.
  • Ensure that engineering drawings, maintenance protocols, and technical documentation are consistently updated.
  • Provide guidance to maintenance personnel and contract workers.
  • Support the optimization of electrical spare parts inventory, create efficient supply agreements, and reduce holding costs.
  • Design and implement training programs for maintenance staff focused on operations, maintenance, and safety.
  • Act as the electrical safety subject matter expert throughout the facility.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Assist with various maintenance tasks across BCP as needed.

Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- 5 years of experience in an electrical engineering capacity
- 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance engineering

Preferred:
- 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance engineering
- Experience in heavy manufacturing with a focus on automation project implementation that achieves successful cost and performance results.
