Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Officer to join our team at Lovelace Medical Center. As a key member of our senior leadership team, the COO will play a critical role in driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Strategic Planning: Provide administrative direction and coordination of clinical and non-clinical departments, collaborating with the CEO to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage the implementation of major initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Leadership Development: Mentor and develop leaders, fostering high-performing teams and promoting innovation and collaboration.
  • Quality Improvement: Guide department leaders in establishing measures of performance, quality improvement, and cost management.
  • Change Management: Lead and manage change through influence, driving process improvements and promoting the use of technology to streamline operations.
  • Community Engagement: Promote relationships with community organizations to improve patient outcomes and the health of the communities served.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Master's degree required, with 5+ years of experience in hospital administration.
  • Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with corporate management staff, facility management staff, and employees.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to analyze situations, evaluate data, and recommend and implement courses of action to improve the functioning of the organization.
