Position Summary

Role Description: Deliver customer support via telephone in a warm, personalized manner that fosters trustworthy, enduring relationships. Assess customer needs, process requests, and provide tailored assistance. Offer precise information and clarifications for all written or verbal inquiries related to issued policies.

Department Insights: Deliver customized service and product expertise through inbound and outbound communications with annuity clients, sales representatives, and business associates. Respond to customer inquiries and policyholder requests through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and instant messaging. Advocate for the value of annuity products and services while embodying the company's mission and values. Provide customer support in a friendly manner that nurtures long-lasting relationships.


Position Details

Compensation: Starting Pay Rate: $19.50
Employment Type: Full-Time
Weekly Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week
Work Schedule: Shift begins between 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM MT
Work Arrangement: In-Office

Telephone Support: Act as a key member of the Annuity Customer Experience Phone Team, utilizing patience, empathy, and active listening to address requests, product inquiries, and complex issues while reinforcing personalized customer relationships.

Written Communication: Identify needs, process requests, and deliver personalized, accurate written responses. Inquiries may involve policy modifications, benefits, cancellations, and billing. Ensure prompt responses via letters, emails, and instant messaging.

Research: Investigate and resolve inquiries related to policyholder services, claims, and underwriting. Stay informed on updates to enhance knowledge for addressing various inquiries.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records for each service interaction, including coding for incidents such as fraud, privacy concerns, and customer feedback. Keep procedure guides current.

Communication: Engage professionally with clients, sales agents, and internal staff, ensuring information is accurate and comprehensive. Continuously improve the ability to explain changes and resolve misunderstandings both verbally and in writing. Maintain clear communication with supervisors and colleagues across departments.


Qualifications

Essential:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service or relations; or a combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the role.
  • Proficient in computer use, including MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong writing skills with attention to detail in grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to complete tasks accurately and timely.
  • Capable of solving diverse problems and enhancing processes.
  • Effective communication skills, able to explain complex information clearly and patiently.
  • Typing speed of 35 wpm and data entry proficiency of 3500 ksph.

Preferred:

  • Experience with annuity products.
