Key Responsibilities:
Handles customer requests for order placements, including pricing inquiries, confirmations, follow-ups, and purchase orders. Manages all aspects of orders, returns, and modifications directly from customers or sales teams.
Provides prompt responses to customer inquiries and information requests, ensuring a positive and courteous experience for customers and sales personnel. Addresses questions related to product offerings, pricing structures, and delivery schedules. Supplies proof of deliveries upon request and offers product samples as needed.
Collaborates with the merchandising team to facilitate or ensure timely dispatch of scheduled shipments, maintaining close communication with other departments to ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently.
Engages with relevant internal teams regarding inquiries, quotes, returns, inventory counts, credit card transactions, cash on delivery orders, and vendor redeliveries.
Reports any discrepancies or significant customer concerns to the Manager of Inside Client Relations.
Maintains open lines of communication with the Manager and Sales Personnel.
Identifies opportunities to enhance client orders through promotions and closeout items, employing suggestive selling techniques.
Stays informed about customer updates and assists in managing the assigned sales personnel's unshipped and unbilled reports.
Qualifications:
A minimum of three years of experience in a call center or customer service role, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience in the industrial packaging or related sector.
Preferred familiarity with call center operations and customer service within the industrial packaging distribution field.
Proficient understanding of CRM management systems.
Solid knowledge of outbound calling strategies and metrics for customer service success.
Proven ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Experience with distribution methods, process improvement initiatives, and operational procedures.
Basic product knowledge is advantageous.
An Associate's degree from an accredited institution is required.
