GENERAL OVERVIEW:


The Regional Operations Supervisor plays a vital role within the Store Leadership team, overseeing a designated area of the Store while also managing overall operations and supervising staff during their shift as the Manager on Duty.

This position involves responsibilities such as opening and closing the Store, guiding Associates, and fostering a welcoming shopping atmosphere.

The Supervisor ensures that merchandise is displayed appropriately and that the work environment remains tidy at all times. They are also tasked with implementing and overseeing Company operational procedures as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensuring Safety and Security:
Recognizes that safety is paramount and consistently engages in safe practices in all activities.

Maintains a heightened awareness on the sales floor to promote a secure shopping experience for all.

Promptly addresses or reports any unsafe conditions or behaviors to Store Leadership.

Responsible for the security of the premises, including controlling access points (Associate entry/exit, receiving area, daily waste disposal, etc.), performing daily checks on Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) devices, securing the Cash Office, coordinating armored carrier pickups, and overseeing the register area.

Clears clutter and guarantees unobstructed access to emergency exits.
Accountable for customer safety, including accident prevention, reporting incidents, and executing emergency protocols.
Conducts scheduled tests of fire alarm systems and responds to after-hours alarms as needed.

Customer Engagement:
Treats all Customers, Associates, and fellow leaders with dignity and respect.
Exhibits courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism consistently. Acknowledges Associates through Company recognition initiatives.
Brand Representation
Embodies and promotes the Company brand at all times.
Maintains a professional appearance in line with the Company Dress Code and ensures all Associates comply with the Dress Code.
Ensures cleanliness and organization throughout the Store, adhering to merchandising standards.
Responsible for daily waste management.

Merchandising Responsibilities:


Guarantees that recovery, sizing, and markdowns are executed to Company standards by instructing, delegating tasks, and following up according to best practices.

Oversees the receipt of merchandise deliveries when necessary.
Processes all incoming merchandise with urgency.
Handles all non-merchandise deliveries (e.g., signage, supplies, special orders, etc.).
Maintains cleanliness and order in all Stockrooms.
Assists in delivering and placing merchandise on the sales floor once all items are processed.
Ensures that back-stock is secured and managed according to Company policy.
Responsible for merchandising within the department, including back stock management.
Aims to minimize loss due to damage.
Ensures compliance with monthly presentation guidelines in the assigned area.
Oversees floor moves and promotional signage as needed.
Handles re-wraps as required.

Loss Prevention Awareness:


Understands and adheres to the Loss Prevention Awareness Program, taking responsibility for Store Loss Prevention by maintaining a strong customer service presence on the sales floor, engaging with Customers and Associates, and promoting heightened loss prevention awareness.

As a representative of Ross Leadership, demonstrates integrity and honesty in all interactions with Associates and Customers. Safeguards confidential information, cash, credit card data, and merchandise.
Ensures the Public View Monitor (PVM) system is properly maintained.
Conducts package inspections as required.
Implements all Company Best Practices and optimizes productivity by minimizing unnecessary steps and touches during work.

Front End Management:
Implements all Company Best Practices and maximizes efficiency by reducing unnecessary steps and touches during operations. Ensures Associates are adhering to Company standards at the Front End.
Maintains energy and presence at the Front End, managing customer flow to reduce wait times.
Trains and coaches Associates on cash register operations, shortage control policies, and other Front End procedures to meet customer service and productivity standards.
Manages Retail Associates' break schedules for coverage, lunches, and breaks.
Ensures all equipment is functioning correctly.
Maintains adequate supplies and recovery for the Front End area.
Ensures that go-backs are processed quickly, accurately scanned, security tagged, and properly ticketed.
Teaches Associates the best practices for scanning and bagging.
Ensures the salability of merchandise on the Front End, including aisle tables and specialty displays.

Fitting Room Oversight:
Responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the Fitting Rooms.
Ensures that all Fitting Room garment tags are audited and accounted for according to Company policy.
Ensures compliance with go-back procedures throughout the day, ensuring all merchandise returned to the sales floor is ticketed, scanned, and security tagged as necessary.

Administrative Responsibilities:
Ensures cash pulls and bank deposits are conducted in accordance with Company policy.
Manages Front End control as needed.

Understands and follows policies and procedures related to refund approvals, Associate purchase approvals, securing tills and cash in safes, register Paid Outs/Ins, void approvals, register media, and break schedules.

Oversees payroll administration, including daily punch edits, scheduling compliance, payroll transmission, and reporting as required.
Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Exceptional verbal communication abilities.
Fluency in English.
Prior experience in customer service and supervisory roles is preferred.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and applications.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail settings.
Availability to work evenings and weekends.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to utilize all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs as necessary.
Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving throughout the Store.
Ability to regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift over 25 lbs.
Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned tools.
Certain roles may require additional qualifications and skills.
