Senior Service Desk Technician with Azure Expertise
Position Overview
Vaco Technology is actively looking for a Senior Service Desk Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role requires a strong presence in the IT infrastructure landscape, focusing on network management, server administration, security protocols, and business continuity measures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Project and Vendor Relations - Manage local contractors and vendor partnerships.
  • Deliver Daily IT Helpdesk Support - Ensure timely resolution of issues while adhering to service level agreements.
  • Configure and Deploy IT Equipment - Manage the setup and distribution of computers and peripherals throughout the organization.
  • Maintain Global Infrastructure - Prioritize availability, reliability, and performance to support enterprise stability.
  • Mentor Team Members - Provide guidance and professional development opportunities for local staff and consultants.
  • Ensure IT Security Compliance - Uphold best practices and standards for information security.
  • Advise on Technology Adoption - Offer insights on methods and techniques for optimal results within the IT team.
  • Enhance Process Efficiency - Utilize technology to improve operational goals.
  • Provide Technical Expertise - Share knowledge on technology and processes to enhance system reliability and effectiveness.
  • Manage Telecommunication Infrastructure - Oversee telephony systems across various regions.
  • Track IT Assets - Maintain visibility into the lifecycle of equipment.
  • Address Network Performance Issues - Identify and mitigate challenges related to availability and throughput.
  • Achieve Organizational Objectives - Respond to new requests and explore value-added opportunities.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Senior Service Desk Technician, with a focus on network, server, security, and storage administration.
  • 5+ years of network support experience, including routing, switching, and LAN/WAN management.
  • Experience with firewall technologies, particularly Cisco Meraki and ASA.
  • Proficiency in Office/M365 support, including Azure and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud platforms and endpoint management solutions.
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud services, including server management and network security.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Citrix Cloud for desktop publishing.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, particularly Autodesk products.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as Epicor and MS Dynamics.
  • Experience in the engineering design or manufacturing sectors.
