POSITION SUMMARY: SABG is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to assist the Chief Financial Officer and the accounting team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the month-end accounts payable closing process.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of all accounts payable transactions, including the receipt and recording of vendor invoices, reconciliation of vendor statements, and facilitation of vendor payments.
  • Document accounts payable workflows and adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Input new vendor information into the system, ensuring all necessary documentation is current.
  • Assist in the evaluation and processing of expense reports in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage and reconcile corporate credit card transactions.
  • Prepare 1099 forms for year-end reporting.
  • Support tax reporting requirements as needed.
  • Address all inquiries related to accounts payable.
  • Generate annual and ad hoc reports for management and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members on complex projects and initiatives.
  • Engage in special projects as directed by the CFO.

SUPERVISORY ROLE: This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possesses specialized knowledge and collaborates effectively within a team to address complex challenges.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to perform essential duties competently.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Proficient in using personal computers and standard office equipment.
  • Familiarity with various software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
