Position Overview

As a Financial Operations Analyst within the Naval Medical Command, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial management processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary coordinator for the Integrated Risk Management Program, ensuring effective execution and leadership across the Naval Medical Command.
  • Serve as the principal advisor on risk management, internal controls, and corrective action strategies to senior management and oversight groups.
  • Collaborate with high-level leadership to guarantee compliance with internal control assessments and reporting obligations.
  • Lead initiatives for internal and external changes impacting the Integrated Risk Management structure and execution.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of the Integrated Risk Management Program to assess program execution.
  • Prepare detailed responses for financial audits and reviews, ensuring adherence to established standards.
  • Disseminate approved financial management policies throughout the organization.
  • Develop and present briefs to senior management regarding program execution and provide actionable recommendations for addressing variances.
Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, which includes:
  • Management of an Integrated Risk Management Program.
  • Development and execution of internal control testing for compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Analysis of internal control data to identify discrepancies and noncompliance.
  • Implementation of corrective actions to resolve control deficiencies.
