Overview
Working in the Operating Room, evening shifts, with weekend and holiday responsibilities.

Position Overview:

ROLE SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Manager and Administrative Supervisor, the Facility Maintenance Attendant is responsible for upholding the cleanliness and sanitation of the hospital and its properties. This includes tasks such as floor refinishing, carpet cleaning, and general housekeeping duties, alongside managing specific requests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Qualified candidates must demonstrate the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to execute the following tasks:
  • Clean all surfaces in the environment, including furniture, beds, bathrooms, windows, and light fixtures, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Refinish floors through machine scrubbing and applying floor finishes.
  • Respond to routine requests via pager.
  • Shampoo furniture and perform carpet cleaning as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of safety procedures and material safety data sheets (MSDS), applying them as necessary.
  • Manage the disposal, transfer, or storage of hospital furniture and supplies.
  • Remove, wash, and rehang curtains and window treatments.
  • Mop and clean various areas including rooms, hallways, and offices.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The following tasks are considered secondary to the primary responsibilities listed above:
  • Collect and dispose of waste and soiled linens following safety protocols.
  • Maintain hospital property and equipment, reporting any issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • One (1) year of experience in hospitality or medical cleaning services.
  • One (1) year of experience using cleaning equipment.
