Job Overview:

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in resident rooms, restrooms, and communal areas, executing general housekeeping duties in accordance with established guidelines to ensure the facility remains clean, sanitized, and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and organize the supply cart for the shift and transport it to designated areas.
  2. Collect and dispose of trash, clean waste receptacles, and replace liners.
  3. Sanitize toilets, sinks, and fixtures thoroughly.
  4. Clean and disinfect assigned resident rooms and perform general tidying tasks.
  5. Restock supplies in various areas as necessary.
  6. Polish and clean interior windows.
  7. Vacuum drapes and window treatments.
  8. Dust all surfaces, including those that are less accessible, moving items as required.
  9. Sweep or mop floors as needed.
  10. Conduct wet mopping following established policies and procedures.
  11. Report any maintenance issues discovered during cleaning.
  12. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures set forth by the department.

Additional Duties:

Perform laundry tasks as assigned, which include collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and redistributing linens and garments.

In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities, the employee is expected to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information and demonstrate integrity and honesty in all actions.
