Position Summary

Job Title: Parking Facility Attendant

Location: Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health

Shift: Split Schedule

- Week 1: Sunday, Tuesday-Thursday; 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

- Week 2: Monday, Friday-Saturday; 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

FTE: 0.4

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for collecting designated parking fees from vehicles leaving an attended parking area. This role involves summarizing transactions and ensuring proper deposit of receipts at the end of each shift. The attendant will monitor the parking area and address or report any issues affecting operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The ideal candidate must possess the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following tasks:
  • Stamp each ticket with the time of exit and determine the appropriate fee charges.
  • Collect payments, operate the cash register, and provide change.
  • Compile a summary of the shift and make cash deposits at the end of the shift.
  • Actively observe parking conditions and report or respond to any abnormal situations as per established protocols.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES: The following responsibilities are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:
  • Conduct basic cleaning of the booth and exit area.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • One (1) year of experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Six (6) months of experience with computers or computerized systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • One (1) year of experience as a parking attendant and in retail is preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience interacting with a diverse range of individuals.
