Overview:

As the Manager of Apprenticeship and Veteran Education Programs, you will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of all apprenticeship initiatives at Facility Solutions Group. Your focus will also include providing specialized support for our military students through veteran education programs.

Your role is essential in guaranteeing that our apprentices receive top-tier training and educational standards in electrical construction and services. You will spearhead the creation and execution of strategic educational initiatives, managing both the operational and instructional elements of the program. Additionally, you will offer vital assistance to military students, guiding them through enrollment processes and VA documentation to enhance their educational experience.

To excel in this position, a strong background in electrical construction, a dedication to educational excellence, and demonstrated expertise in program management and leadership are required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in electrical construction and services, specifically in Education, Training, or Craft Development programs.
  • Experience in managing training programs or educational institutions, ideally within the construction sector.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and educational methodologies.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership abilities, with a talent for inspiring and motivating others.
  • Familiarity with compliance and safety regulations in the electrical industry.
  • Proven capability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong financial management skills, including experience in budget oversight and investment management.

Additional Qualifications:

  • A passion for education and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Knowledge of Texas Workforce Career School College licensing requirements.
  • Understanding of Title IV requirements and the accreditation process.
  • Familiarity with VA Certifying Official requirements and processes.
  • Knowledge of NCCER Sponsor Representative requirements and processes.
  • Previous military experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a holistic training strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the apprenticeship program to ensure high-quality training delivery.
  • Continuously assess and update apprenticeship curricula to align with industry best practices and regulations.
  • Support a team of instructors and educators, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and learning.
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure alignment of apprenticeship programs with the broader organizational strategy.
  • Build relationships with local educational institutions, industry organizations, and businesses to enhance program reputation and collaboration opportunities.
  • Establish metrics and assessment methods to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of training programs.
  • Utilize feedback and data analytics to inform decisions and continuously improve program quality.
  • Monitor and track apprentice progress, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Represent Facility Solutions Group at industry events and conferences to promote and highlight the success of the programs.
  • Ensure all training programs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety and instill best practices in both apprentices and staff.
  • Advise and assist new and returning veterans and their dependents on available Veterans Educational program specifics, eligibility, and enrollment processes.
  • Coordinate annual VA audits to ensure program compliance.
  • Certify, monitor, document, and report student progress to VA through the VA web-based system.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of and communicate current state and federal VA regulations and changes to students and appropriate staff members concerning eligibility, academic progress, and award amounts.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director.

Compensation Range:
USD $60,000.00 - USD $65,000.00 /Yr.
