Position Overview:
As part of the interdisciplinary team at the Audie L. Murphy Heart Center, you will collaborate with specialists and healthcare providers in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct trans-esophageal echocardiograms
- Interpret and instruct on transthoracic echocardiograms and nuclear imaging
- Supervise and mentor cardiology fellows and residents
- Maintain a consistent outpatient clinic
- Provide care in the inpatient CCU and cardiology consultation services
Required Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of clinical experience as a non-invasive cardiologist
- Board certification or equivalent in adult cardiovascular disease and echocardiography
- Board certification or working knowledge of nuclear medicine studies and cardiac CT angiography
- Commitment to working with and educating trainees
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (preferably CPRS)
- Interest in both inpatient and outpatient cardiology
- Ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team
- Valid and unrestricted State Medical License
