Compensation: $106,495 - $119,082

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the comprehensive transportation training program, ensuring all Learning and Development initiatives for Bus and Flex Operators are effectively implemented.
  • Lead the development and execution of training programs, including New Operator Onboarding and refresher courses, while collaborating with relevant stakeholders to adapt to evolving needs.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to trainers, ensuring high standards of training delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Analyze training outcomes and implement improvements to enhance the effectiveness of the training department.
  • Drive the continuous professional development of transportation personnel, coordinating with external testing agencies as necessary.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by integrating best practices into training methodologies, ensuring engaging and impactful learning experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities and employee performance, addressing any disciplinary actions in accordance with established policies.
  • Participate in identifying training needs based on operational changes and organizational goals.
  • Manage a team of training staff, ensuring compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity standards and promoting diversity within the workplace.
  • Be available for communication outside of regular hours as needed, demonstrating flexibility in managing responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in education, training, organizational development, or a related field, along with a minimum of eight years of experience in the transportation sector.
  • Preferred certifications include CTT+ and TSI (Transit Safety Institute).
  • Familiarity with TAPCO (Transit and Paratransit Company) is advantageous.
  • Ability to obtain a Class B CDL with airbrake/passenger endorsement is required.
