Job Summary

Environmental Design Group is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Technical Lead to oversee the planning and coordination of projects, provide technical expertise, and serve as the main point of contact with clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation planning and design, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Provide technical guidance and oversight to project teams, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in transportation planning and design, providing technical advice and guidance to project teams and clients.
  • Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress and ensuring that client needs are met.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure that projects are completed successfully.
  • Business Development: Identify business opportunities and develop strategies to secure new projects and clients.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Planning, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in transportation planning and design, with a strong background in project management and leadership.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other industry-based software.
  • Certifications: PE, PLA/RLA, AICP, or other relevant certifications are preferred.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position that has the availability to work hybrid. Travel is primarily local during the business day.

The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license and possess a driving record that will enable the employee to be insurable under the Company's standard vehicle insurance and general comprehensive liability insurance without additional costs to the Company.

Supervisor Responsibility

This position will not have direct reports but will be expected to act as a mentor, coach, and train newer associates as appropriate. Environmental Design Group is a teaching organization that believes in the growth of all individuals within the company.
