About the Job

Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual looking for a challenging role in loan operations? Northeast Bank is seeking an experienced SBA Loan Operations Specialist to join our National Small Business Administration (SBA) Lending Group.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of banking or finance experience, preferably with SBA loan processing. This position involves coordinating all aspects of loan underwriting, closing, servicing, and liquidation. You will work closely with senior team members to prepare loan closing and funding worksheets, including boarding sheets and wire requests.

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. Our office environment is climate-controlled with moderate noise levels, and occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate loan underwriting, closing, servicing, and liquidation processes
  • Prepare loan closing and funding worksheets, including boarding sheets and wire requests
  • Assist with loan servicing and liquidation actions as outlined by the SBA's 7a Lender Matrix
  • Review loan guaranty sale packages (SBA Form 1086) to ensure accurate data
  • Perform initial evaluation of SBA 7a Small Loan applications via online portal
  • Develop and implement standard phone and email response templates for applicant messages
  • Partner with LSP to resolve any applicant issues that may arise
