Job Summary
  We are seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to join our National Small Business Administration (SBA) Lending team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating SBA 7a Small Loan applications, making credit decision recommendations, and collaborating with our Lender Service Provider to address any credit or documentation issues.

About the Role
  This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced lending environment where you will have the chance to utilize your analytical skills and attention to detail to make a meaningful impact. You will be working closely with our experienced team to support the origination process, including completing underwriting and closing due diligence items according to SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate SBA 7a Small Loan applications via online portal to ensure files meet all Bank and SBA credit, eligibility, and risk standards.
  • Make credit decision recommendations on straightforward loan applications to the SBA Credit Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Banks LSP to address and resolve any credit, eligibility, or documentation issues.
  • Confirm prepared loan documents are accurate and consistent with the approved credit memo.
  • Attend standing meetings with LSP and technology vendor to address any process or platform issues that may arise.
  • Support efforts to respond to various portfolio management or audit inquiries.
  • Successfully pass technical and regulatory examinations as required by the Bank.

Requirements
  To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong track record of performance and leadership. Prior banking experience in loan underwriting, asset management, and/or loan processing is preferred. You should also be outgoing, charismatic, and comfortable engaging with people in all types of environments through all mediums (phone, in person, via email). Additionally, you should have a team-oriented approach with a desire to learn and improve, outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and formal bank credit training a plus.
