We are in search of a visionary leader to define, uphold, and implement our software strategy alongside our engineering teams, enhancing the user experience of our offerings. In this role, you will oversee all facets of Software Product Management at Formlabs.

This position necessitates an on-site presence three days a week.

If you possess a customer-centric mindset and a forward-looking approach, we invite you to become part of our Software team as the Head of Software Product Management. Our software product suite is diverse and rapidly expanding, encompassing:

  • Firmware/UI: Enhancing our 3D printers with industrial-grade 3D printing capabilities through firmware and exceptional user interface design.
  • Desktop: Preform serves as the command center for our 3D printers. Advance the feature set that our clients utilize daily to manage nearly 100,000 printers in operation.
  • IoT: Dashboard acts as the interface for our customers to access our products. Assist us in making the printers more interconnected to facilitate remote monitoring, scheduling, and more.
  • Workflows: Our clientele spans various sectors. Develop integrations and new products to support manufacturing, dental, and other industry workflows, driving our growth in these areas.

The Role:

  • Guide your team through the complete product lifecycle; from ideation, through development, to launch and market introduction.
  • Influence decision-making both within and beyond the software engineering domain. All software choices impact our hardware and material offerings. Collaborate with a diverse array of leaders across various disciplines.
  • Gain insights into user needs through research and competitive analysis. Anticipate market demands and pinpoint areas where Formlabs can excel.
  • Serve as a product thought leader, recognized across the company as a subject matter expert.
  • Mentor and nurture existing product managers within your team.
  • Prioritize recruitment - consistently seek top talent and assess fit for the team.
  • Navigate uncertainty and emerge with a clear roadmap. Be comfortable with pioneering initiatives that have not been previously undertaken.

Qualifications:

  • Preferably possess a background in computer science or embedded engineering.
  • At least five years of experience in a product management capacity.
  • Previous experience leading a team with five or more direct reports.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to advancing processes and a bias for action.
  • Empower your team to achieve their highest potential.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in launching a company or new product from the ground up.
  • Proven track record in scaling teams effectively.
  • History of leading high-performing teams.
  • Experience within the B2B technology sector.
