Materials Science Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Materials Intern to join our team at Terracon, a 100% employee-owned multidiscipline consulting firm. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting field and laboratory testing of concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates.
As a Materials Intern, you will work closely with other field and/or laboratory personnel to ensure seamless project execution. Your duties will include:
- Performing sampling or testing as directed;
- Providing assistance to other field and/or laboratory personnel;
- Transporting equipment, specimens or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and providing physical assistance in equipment set-up;
- Cleaning equipment, vehicles and work areas;
- Assisting other technicians or professional staff on routine tasks;
The ideal candidate will have less than one year remaining to complete their BS degree in a science or related field (environmental, safety, engineering, chemistry, biology, geology). We offer an estimated salary of $45,000 per year, based on location and experience.
