EHS Safety Specialist

As a rapidly growing manufacturing company, we are currently seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team. This position will be responsible for overseeing the EHS program, conducting regular inspections and audits, leading investigations of accidents and incidents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, and at least 2 years of experience in EHS within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team are also essential.
The successful Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer - Manufacturing will be rewarded with a competitive base salary of $85,000-$120,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including 401K, medical, dental, vision, and PTO. This role reports into the Plant Manager and will play a key part in helping us maintain a safe and healthy work environment. The EHS Specialist will develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures, conduct regular inspections and audits, lead investigations of accidents and incidents, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have certification in safety, such as OSHA, and be able to stay up-to-date with changes in EHS regulations, standards, and industry trends. They will also be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into planning, design, and implementation of new processes, equipment, and facilities.
