Job Overview

Waltonen Engineering is on the lookout for a Lead Engineering Processor to enhance our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Processing Manager at Waltonen.
  • Oversee the successful execution of intricate engineering assignments and projects.
  • Initiate, guide, supervise, and manage both major and minor engineering endeavors within a designated area of responsibility, providing both administrative and technical direction to team members.
  • Coordinate essential support resources to fulfill project goals.
  • Manage timelines and documentation related to welding processes.
  • Track project advancements and devise strategies to meet critical deadlines.
  • Ensure consistent collaboration between supporting design teams, regulatory bodies, and internal operations.
  • Draft general specifications for projects.
  • Support, coordinate, and implement all quality assurance initiatives.
  • Fulfill all customer specifications, requirements, and requests.
  • Propose and advocate for continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Expertise in Siemens UG/NX for navigation and observation.
  • Experience in automotive body-in-white (BIW) engineering, whether light or heavy.
  • Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to adhere to structured processes and protocols.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with both large and small teams.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary, with adaptability to changing workloads.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Siemens Process Designer or eM-Planner.
  • Knowledge of GM standard deliverables (STDS, WESS, SPD, XRWD's).
  • Understanding of related automotive BIW departments and their deliverables.
