We are in search of a seasoned technical leader to become an integral part of our team, spearheading initiatives in the design and execution of robust data ingestion, management, and processing systems that drive our AI infrastructure.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a crucial member of our engineering team, you will:
- Architect and develop a state-of-the-art system for ingesting and indexing vehicle data from both our development and customer fleets.
- Create an access abstraction layer that streamlines how developers engage with data.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the system to efficiently handle large volumes of data for loading and training.
- Automate the ETL processes for logs from vehicle systems to a centralized data platform.
- Design and construct a data platform that facilitates seamless data movement between on-premises data centers and cloud environments.
- Utilize technologies such as DreamIO, Spark, and Airflow to orchestrate and oversee data workflows.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.
- Propose and implement additional solutions to enhance data infrastructure and boost developer productivity.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Over 8 years of proven experience in designing and constructing scalable data platforms and pipelines.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Expertise in ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Databricks) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- A deep understanding of network stacks, including protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and others.
- Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
- A comfort level in navigating highly ambiguous and dynamic environments.
This position is categorized as hybrid, allowing for flexibility in work location while maintaining essential collaboration with the team.
