Position Overview

K2 Staffing is representing a prominent IT Solutions provider seeking an IT Help Desk Support Engineer - Level III with a strong background in Managed Services Support (MSP). The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and exceptional interpersonal communication skills, thriving in environments that require innovative technology solutions to address client needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to deliver comprehensive pre- and post-sales assistance, which includes conducting discovery meetings, site evaluations, proposal development, presentations, technical assessments, implementation, and ongoing account management.
  • Oversee the deployment and administration of Windows Servers and Active Directory.
  • Design and implement Local Area Networks (LAN).
  • Establish and monitor network security protocols.
  • Optimize and maintain both software and hardware components of the network.
  • Construct and deploy file servers and cloud-based solutions.
  • Configure and implement VOIP systems.
  • Conduct troubleshooting for network infrastructure issues.
  • Manage Microsoft Exchange Server operations.
  • Provide telephone system solutions.
  • Monitor alert systems and respond appropriately as per established guidelines.
  • Utilize event log messages to facilitate repairs.
  • Handle escalated service requests that require advanced responses.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes for new users.

Qualifications & Skills

  • A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers, workstations, Exchange server, and Active Directory.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a client-facing role, such as sales engineering.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients at a business level to understand their historical and current technology challenges.
  • Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
  • Experience in drafting proposals and implementing technical solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, energetic, professional, reliable, and a collaborative team player.
  • Solid understanding of technology and business productivity systems.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, coupled with outstanding customer service skills and strong multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with RMM (remote monitoring and management) tools, such as Kaseya or Connectwise, is advantageous.
  • Experience with PSA (ticketing software solutions), such as Autotask, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Cisco, Fortinet, Sonicwall, among others, is beneficial.
  • Experience in an MSP environment is a significant advantage.

Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory)

  • CompTIA Net+ and/or CompTIA Security+ certifications.
  • MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator/Solutions Associate) or MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) certifications.
  • CCNA or CCIE-Cisco certifications are highly regarded.
