Position Overview

We are currently seeking to recruit full-time Campus Safety Specialists in the Wyndmoor, PA region.

The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining the company's relationship with client representatives, ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered consistently across all operational facets of the Joffe Emergency Services Security Division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary responder to all campus-related emergencies, whether medical or criminal, that may pose a risk to safety.
  • Uphold campus regulations and procedures concerning safety and security matters.
  • Conduct regular inspections to verify the safety and security of campus facilities and grounds.
  • Monitor for unauthorized individuals, vandalism, fire hazards, water leaks, or any other situations that could result in property damage.
  • Manage the locking and unlocking of buildings as per event schedules, ensuring campus security protocols are followed.
  • Identify and report hazardous conditions to management promptly.
  • Ensure that interior and exterior lighting is functioning as required and report any electrical or mechanical issues to the supervisor.
  • Control access to the campus, allowing entry only to authorized personnel while on duty.
  • Guide visitors and provide assistance as needed.
  • Oversee parking areas and manage traffic flow, including enforcing campus traffic regulations.
  • Implement campus policies regarding smoking, alcohol, and drug use.
  • Monitor weather conditions on campus and alert management to any dangerous or unusual weather events.
  • Assist in the investigation of campus violations by reviewing camera footage, interviewing witnesses, and preparing incident reports.
  • Act as a liaison between the campus and local law enforcement agencies.
  • Provide informal safety education and information to students and staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Applicants should be adaptable to varying work environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and be prepared for exposure to inclement weather conditions.
