The CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography imaging in accordance with established protocols to acquire diagnostic information as directed by the physician.
Key Responsibilities- Certification Requirements: Must possess BLS - Basic Life Support, RT(R)(CT) - Registered Technologist (R) (CT), or RT(R) - Registered Technologist (R), along with ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification and CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification.
- Operational Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Job Summary: The CT Technologist executes CT imaging procedures while demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintains up-to-date knowledge in radiation safety and protection, ensuring all imaging is performed in a safe manner.
- Contrast Media Administration: Prepares and administers contrast media in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Professional Judgment: Utilizes critical thinking and ethical judgment to ensure high-quality patient care.
- CT Procedures: Conducts CT examinations following protocols established by referring physicians or radiologists.
- Equipment Operation: Operates CT scanners to generate cross-sectional images of optimal quality while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience: Relevant experience is preferred.
All personnel at Temple University - Episcopal Campus must be vaccinated or possess an agency-approved medical or religious exemption for COVID-19.
