The CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography imaging in accordance with established protocols to provide essential diagnostic information as directed by the physician.
Key Responsibilities- Certification Requirements: Must possess BLS - Basic Life Support, RT(R)(CT) - Registered Technologist (R) (CT), or RT(R) - Registered Technologist (R), along with ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification and CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification.
- Operational Duties: Conduct CT imaging procedures while adhering to protocols set forth by referring physicians or radiologists.
- Technical Proficiency: Operate CT scanners to generate cross-sectional anatomical images of high quality, ensuring safety and compliance with established guidelines.
- Patient Care: Demonstrate critical thinking and ethical judgment in delivering quality care, including the preparation and administration of contrast media in line with hospital policies.
- Knowledge Maintenance: Stay informed about human anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology, as well as radiation protection and safety practices.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience: Relevant experience in the field is preferred.
Standard working hours are from 7 AM to 4:30 PM.
Additional InformationAll personnel at Temple University - Episcopal Campus must comply with vaccination requirements or possess an approved medical or religious exemption for COVID-19.
