Role Summary
The Guest Services Representative is responsible for managing guest reservations and collaborating with the reservation center to ensure a seamless experience.
Welcomes guests with a warm demeanor, efficiently registers them into the establishment, and utilizes up-selling techniques to enhance room rates. Prepares for group arrivals and special guest check-ins.
Maintains confidentiality regarding guest information and records with utmost integrity.
Handles incoming calls, directing them appropriately, and accurately takes messages for guests.
Supports sales and marketing initiatives as directed by management.
Facilitates wake-up call requests with professionalism.
Documents essential guest information in the logbook
Ensures the continental breakfast area is replenished and maintained in a clean state.
Monitors the cleanliness of common areas and the lobby.
Assists with laundry tasks as required.
Processes guest check-ins and check-outs, handling payments in accordance with established protocols.
Answers phone inquiries promptly and courteously.
Promotes hotel amenities and services, staying informed about upcoming events and activities both within the hotel and in the local area.
Provides guests with information regarding the property and its amenities, as well as recommendations for local attractions.
Employs creative problem-solving skills to address guest concerns and ensure complete satisfaction.
Resolves minor guest issues to their satisfaction and escalates significant problems to management.
Completes daily administrative tasks, including cash handling, documentation of adjustments, and processing check-outs.
Manages departmental financial transactions, including receipts and guest accounts; posts charges accurately and prepares deposits.
Utilizes communication tools such as computers, telephones, and fax machines to transmit and receive messages.
Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Adheres to company policies and procedures.
