As the communication and marketing services provider for the VCU School of Business, we act as strategic partners, collaborating closely with various departments to promote effective communication and marketing initiatives. With extensive industry experience and a passion for innovative concepts, we aim to enhance the reputation of VCU Business School through impactful storytelling and collaborative teamwork.

Position Overview:

The VCU School of Business Marketing and Communications team is seeking a dynamic Creative Brand Manager to strengthen and broaden the school's brand visibility across various media and communication platforms. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will work alongside a team of art directors, designers, writers, and multimedia artists to create strategic and compelling branded content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Communications: Align social media and communication efforts across the university and School of Business for maximum impact.
  • Brand Consistency: Maintain consistent brand standards and deliver relevant, impactful communications.
  • Data Utilization: Use data and analytics to optimize multi-channel media and messaging strategies.
  • Social Media Management: Expand reach and enhance audience engagement through social media.
  • Campaign Execution: Implement strategic social media campaigns and manage community interactions.
  • Website Oversight: Manage and update school website content, ensuring alignment with brand strategy.
  • Content Development: Create engaging digital and social content that adheres to brand guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Provide training, review content quality, and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Special Projects: Participate in various projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Over three years of experience in marketing, communications, or related fields.
  • Strong strategic thinking abilities to enhance online presence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven success in digital content creation and social media management.
  • Ability to develop on-brand content for digital platforms.
  • Proficient in social media engagement and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Capable of working efficiently under deadlines and managing multiple tasks.
  • Experience in fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, with occasional weekends and evenings required. This position may offer a hybrid work model upon completion of training. Our team is committed to fostering a culture of learning and growth for its members.
