About the Position:
We are looking for individuals with a strong background in branding, advertising, or a related field who can teach graduate-level students in a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the industry and current issues, as well as the ability to motivate students to a higher level of work.
Responsibilities:
- Teach graduate-level courses in brand strategy, research, advertising, design, communications, and/or innovation
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Provide individualized feedback and support to students to help them achieve their academic goals
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that aligns with industry standards and best practices
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g. marketing, advertising, communications, etc.)
- Experience in branding, advertising, or a related field, with a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse students, faculty, and staff, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience at the college level, with a strong track record of student success and satisfaction
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g. MBA, MFA, etc.)
About the Brandcenter:
The Brandcenter at VCU is a two-year, full-time master's program that prepares students for top careers in branding, advertising, and creative problem-solving. Our program is designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of the industry and current issues, as well as hands-on experience developing advertising campaigns and branding projects.
