COMPENSATION
The Target Pay Range for this role is $83,300-$101,700 annually, with a full Pay Range of $64,600-$120,600 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are influenced by relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Individual qualifications will be considered when making an employment offer. In addition to salary, performance-based incentives are available for the selected candidate, with targets varying by role.

The Financial Accountant II is essential in analyzing and reconciling various member-related transactional accounts to ensure accurate recording and documentation of financial transactions at the Credit Union, along with preparing reports and financial schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure Financial Integrity:
Monitor and reconcile member-related transactional accounts, investigate, analyze, and resolve discrepancies, and provide insights for management review.

Collaborate and Assist:

Work closely with credit union staff, providing detailed accounting support and analysis, and consult with the team for timely resolution of reconciling items.


Generate Financial Reports:
Prepare daily and month-end journal entries, timely reconciliations, and reports to support year-end audit and regulatory requirements.

Analyze and Innovate:

Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, provide in-depth analysis on operational issues, and contribute to the design and implementation of new or enhanced accounting systems and processes.


Leverage Data Tools:

Develop and maintain a working knowledge of data tools and enterprise systems to effectively and efficiently analyze data in executing responsibilities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of three years of progressive experience in accounting
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel

Desired Qualifications:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks effectively
