Job Description

Ancora Home Health and Hospice LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing and growing our hospice volunteer program, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers to provide support to patients and families.
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage and retain volunteers, ensuring a strong and dedicated team.
  • Collaborate with the hospice team to ensure seamless integration of volunteer services into patient care plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate volunteer performance, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with hospice policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum 2 years of experience in a related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable automobile; proof of current automobile insurance.
  • Criminal background check clearance/fingerprint clearance; negative TB test required.
