About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medicaid Program Specialist to join our team at the State of Alaska. As a Medicaid Program Specialist, you will play a critical role in the administration of healthcare programs in Alaska, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, coordinate, and collect third-party resources for the Medicaid program
  • Oversee compliance with the Division's State Health Insurance Premium Payment (HIPP) program
  • Conduct outreach activities, monitoring, reporting, and adding all Third-Party Liability (TPL) resources
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to communicate program regulations, policies, and procedures
Requirements
  • Equivalent to experience in supporting the administration of a Medicaid or Medicare program, health insurance service, or health insurance management information system
  • Knowledge of Medicaid/Medical Assistance terminology, programs, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to think conceptually, observe and interpret trends, comprehend and analyze data, identify relationships, and draw logical conclusions
