Job Summary

The Program Manager will oversee the planning, development, and execution of Aleut programs and projects. They will coordinate the efforts of various teams within The Aleut Corporation to ensure successful delivery of programs and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive program strategy, including defining goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional program and project teams to ensure effective collaboration, communication, and execution.
  • Monitor and control program and project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues to meet program and project objectives.
  • Manage and coordinate department operations to confirm that assigned programs and projects are completed according to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Manage and report on risk to programs and projects.
  • Take proactive steps to minimize delays in delivery.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providing regular updates on program and project status and addressing any concerns or challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices, standardizing processes, and recommending enhancements to project management methodologies.
  • Develop and manage program and project budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and efficient cost control.
  • Conduct regular program and project reviews and evaluations, identifying lessons learned and implementing improvements for future efforts.
  • Forecast potential schedule delays and adjust program or project schedule accordingly.
Requirements
  • Four (4) years of experience in program and project management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of program and project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering practical and sustainable solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their best.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Propensity to ask insightful questions, conduct thorough research, and understand both high-level strategy and ground-level tactical needs.
  • Analytically minded with deep experience using data to drive insights and decision-making.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex data to wide audiences, including executives, and build clear, concise presentations.
  • Strong program and project management and leadership skills, including directing cross-functional department program and project reports.
  • Intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and driven to make an impact on the business.
  • Strongly predisposed to action and getting things done autonomously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with Alaska Native Corporations.
