KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the planning and execution of volunteer services.
  • Match volunteers with service opportunities based on their skills and interests.
  • Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities and time commitments.
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new volunteers.
  • Design and implement training programs for volunteers.
  • Evaluate volunteer performance and provide feedback.
  • Ensure adherence to hospice policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate volunteer support meetings and educational sessions.
  • Prepare necessary reports for management.
  • Promote community awareness of the volunteer program.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other program leaders.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as a volunteer liaison.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development activities.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma required.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred; prior volunteer experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to complete required training upon hire.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and independent judgment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • Current CPR certification.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires physical activity, including standing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Candidates must possess adequate sensory abilities to perform essential duties effectively.


Must be adaptable to changing circumstances and able to work independently. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with diverse individuals. The ability to manage stress and maintain emotional stability is crucial.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in both office settings and various community locations. Travel to patient sites is necessary, and candidates should be prepared for exposure to various environmental conditions.
