Job Title: Human Resources Analyst at City of Hermosa Beach

Under general supervision, engage in a range of professional administrative, technical, and analytical tasks in support of the City's Human Resources and Risk Management Division. This includes activities related to recruitment and selection, employee benefits administration, workers' compensation, general liability claims, and performance evaluation programs. Provide assistance to City personnel and the public, delivering information pertinent to specific program areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organizes, coordinates, and executes administrative tasks and special projects
  • Collaborates effectively as part of a team in a dynamic work environment
  • Proposes and implements enhancements to policies and procedures
  • Ensures exceptional internal and external customer service
  • Drafts and publishes job announcement advertisements
  • Supports the recruitment and selection process
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of human resources program operations
  • Principles of human resources management
  • Strong communication skills
Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field, coupled with two years of professional experience in human resources administration.
Experience with NEOGOV or a similar online application tracking system is preferred.
Licenses/Certificates: Valid Class C California Driver's License
Work Environment and Physical Demands

Environment: Primarily operates in a standard office setting with public interaction.
Physical: Requires physical capability and mobility; occasional lifting and carrying tasks.
Vision: Normal visual acuity.
Hearing: Normal auditory range.
