Human Resources Administrator Job Description

Mark IV Capital is a dynamic and growth-oriented real estate development and investment company seeking a skilled Human Resources Administrator to join its team in Newport Beach, CA.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing HR functions, supporting employees, and fostering a positive workplace culture. This position requires a blend of strategic and operational skills, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, payroll, compliance, training, and performance management.

The Human Resources Administrator will report to the Executive Vice President, Human Resources, and will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, screening, hiring team collaboration, and drafting of employment offers.
  • Coordinating and facilitating new employee orientation and onboarding process.
  • Acting as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Supporting conflict resolution and providing guidance on company policies and procedures.
  • Identifying training needs and assisting in the development and implementation of training programs.
  • Coordinating employee development initiatives to enhance skills and performance.
  • Supporting the performance review process, including goal setting and feedback sessions.
  • Assisting leadership with performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions, as necessary.
  • Providing support to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Collaborating with maintaining and updating employee handbooks, policies, and procedures.
  • Managing HCM data and ensuring accurate recordkeeping.
  • Assisting with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
  • Supporting the payroll processing cycle, ensuring accurate and timely payroll for all employees.
  • Maintaining payroll records and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Addressing payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Collaborating with the corporate accounting team on payroll-related reporting and audits.
  • Supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and retention.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of HR Coordinator experience, preferably in the commercial real estate sector.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, payroll processes, benefits, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in Outlook applications.
  • Experience with HCM and Benefits platforms.
