Job Summary

This part-time position plays a vital role at the Duke Health & Fitness Center. As a Patient Service Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to members and guests. Your duties will include greeting visitors, providing locker keys and towels, processing monetary transactions, and answering membership questions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to members and guests
  • Process monetary transactions via point-of-sale system
  • Answer membership questions and provide information
  • Independently answer phones and handle customer inquiries/complaints
  • Schedule massage appointments and provide emergency services as needed
  • Process membership contracts, guest waivers, and other administrative paperwork
  • Perform financial balances at the beginning and end of each shift
Requirements
  • High school diploma, some college preferred
  • Two years customer service experience
  • Experience working with point-of-sale monetary transactions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Microsoft Office computer skills and Club Management software
  • Cash handling skills and ability to perform multiple tasks at once
Work Environment

This part-time position requires working approximately every other weekend and with some possible coverage during the week as needed.
