Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Associate to join our team at Duke Health Integrated Practice. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare for clinic visits by reviewing next day patients and completing necessary preparation activities.
  • Check-in patients upon arrival, verify demographic data, and accurately identify the appropriate account for patient visits.
  • Collect and post co-payments and balances on accounts due, and imprint patient-specific chart documents.
  • Schedule testing and ancillary procedures, answer telephone calls, and disseminate messages according to practice communication standards.
  • Report obtained medical information from patients and referring physicians accurately, completely, and timely.
Requirements

Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles, typically acquired through high school education. A minimum of one year of work experience in directly communicating and providing service to patients or public, preferably in a healthcare-related field, is required.

Experience in effectively coordinating multiple tasks or activities is essential for success in this role.
