Hotel Maintenance Technician II

Days Inn Inner Harbor is seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Displaying proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, and boiler maintenance and repair.
  • Ensuring the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required for repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Repairing drywall and painting as necessary to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Identifying, locating, and operating shut-off valves for all equipment and utilities.
  • Ensuring chemicals and hazardous materials are stored properly.
  • Maintaining pool systems and equipment.
  • Communicating daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
  • Ensuring all work is conducted in a safe and timely manner, adhering to standards of safety and effective equipment utilization.

Requirements:

  • Technical training or equivalent experience in hotel maintenance.
  • Hospitality or related industry experience.
  • Trade-related certifications, especially in HVAC, are preferred.
  • Computer skills, including knowledge of database software, internet software, order processing systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to complete work at heights up to 50 feet using ladders, harnesses, and lifts.
