The Heating and Air Conditioning Technician II plays a crucial role in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of various heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and associated systems. This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

  • Proficient in the operation of hot water and steam systems.
  • Familiarity with air atomizing and rotary burners.
  • Understanding of absorption, centrifugal, and reciprocating chillers.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic temperature control mechanisms.
  • Awareness of safety protocols related to the upkeep and repair of HVAC systems.
  • Capability to repair, overhaul, and calibrate diverse heating, ventilation, and air conditioning apparatus.
  • Adept at diagnosing and resolving common issues within HVAC systems.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Physical capacity to lift heavy equipment.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of three years of experience in the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems. Alternatively, candidates may substitute additional relevant experience for educational qualifications. Completion of specific training or an approved apprenticeship may also be considered.

All candidates are required to have a valid driver's license and EPA certification upon hire. Successful candidates will be placed on the eligibility list for a minimum of six months following the evaluation process.
