About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at WinnCompanies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties, providing excellent customer service, and working collaboratively with our residents and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Diagnose and make repairs in areas such as appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic HVAC.
  • Complete Service Requests: Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures, ensuring vacant apartments are prepared for occupancy and market ready in accordance with company standards.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform maintenance service orders associated with the preventive maintenance program, building and safety inspection, and annual unit inspection.
  • Grounds and Curb Appeal: Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management activities.
  • On-Call Availability: Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule and need.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in residential/apartment maintenance.
  • Knowledge: General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
  • Technology: Basic familiarity with technology, including the use of cell/smartphones and computers.
  • Availability: Availability for rotational on-call activity every 3 weeks for emergencies.
  • Communication: Ability to speak and understand basic English.
  • Skills: Excellent appliance repair skills.
  • License: A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
  • Interpersonal: Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Vocational or Technical Training: Vocational or technical training.
  • HVAC Certification: HVAC certified.
  • CAMT Certification: CAMT certification.
