PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administrative: Create and sustain a professional office environment. Answer phone calls promptly; manage incoming and outgoing correspondence; procure office supplies and oversee shipping logistics; prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents to support site operations. Welcome all visitors, new hires, and employees in a courteous and professional manner. Communicate effectively and empathetically with all levels of staff and management. Assist corporate teams in maintaining company assets. Prepare various reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and project basis.
  • Human Resources: Collaborate with Site Supervision to complete and submit employee documentation (W4, I-9, health questionnaires, training programs, address changes, separation forms, rehire/transfer forms, applications, EEO forms, benefit and insurance information, etc.); coordinate employee drug screenings and physical exams; ensure the preparation of employee orientation packets and training programs; assist with EEO monitoring and audits; return all Human Resource materials as required.
  • Payroll: Ensure the accuracy of foremen's reports and other data necessary for payroll processing.
  • Operations: Support Site Supervision in establishing utilities and mail services; perform routine office maintenance tasks; prepare materials and documents for weekly management meetings and other meetings as directed by the Site Manager; run errands as needed.
  • Safety: Communicate the location and access to emergency services and clinics, and post emergency contact information as required. Assist the Safety Manager as necessary.
  • Schedule and prepare for meetings involving stakeholders and local groups.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Undertake additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED; one year of experience in an administrative role, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Typing speed of 40-45 words per minute required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with payroll systems.

SAFETY/DRESS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sleeves must always be worn (no muscle shirts or tank tops).
  • No ripped or cut jeans.
  • Steel or composite toe boots are required.
  • Additional safety equipment will be provided as necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must adhere to the company's drug and alcohol policy.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, as required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Location: Industrial construction sites, office, and/or fabrication shop.
  • Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: Uneven ground, obstructed pathways, work performed at various elevations, and in confined spaces.
  • Climatic/Environmental Conditions: Predominantly outdoor settings, potential exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, rain, and noise from tools and machinery.

Primoris Services Corporation provides a compensation range and a general description of other benefits that it believes it might offer for this position. This range is based on a full-time schedule.
