Job Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance, repair, and replacement of dealership equipment to maximize production and support the company's policies, goals, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staffing and Management: Supervise and manage maintenance staff to ensure adequate training and equipment to perform their jobs successfully.
  • Maintenance Activities: Conduct regular inspections, maintain records of daily maintenance and service activities, and initiate projects to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with city, state, and federal regulations, as well as corporate policies and OSHA rules.
  • Safety and Health: Maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures, and participate in Quarterly Safety Shop Meetings.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Inspect and maintain elevators, forklifts, fire extinguishers, car lifts, and other equipment, and maintain the aesthetics of the facilities.
  • Communication: Communicate directly with the Management Team to coordinate maintenance and repair work, and delegate tasks to maintenance staff.
  • Construction Planning: Plan and manage construction projects to ensure timely completion and within budget.
  • Performance Management: Establish personal performance goals, devise strategies to meet those goals, and understand the terminology of the business and technology changes.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Follow all attendance and punctuality standards, adhere to timekeeping standards, and follow the Company Code of Business Ethics and Conduct.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience: Five or more years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Ability to establish personal performance goals, manage maintenance staff, lead a team, define problems, process data, and apply common sense understanding.
Work Environment

  • Physical Demands: Medium/Heavy Work, lifting over 50 pounds with assistance device required, frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to or over 35 pounds with assistance device available as needed.
  • Work Environment: Standard Business Hours with ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
