Key Responsibilities for Facilities Maintenance Associates at AVE:


Facilities Maintenance Associates hold a dual role, ensuring the upkeep of AVE's cleanliness and aesthetic standards while executing essential maintenance duties.

Maintain cleanliness in designated communal areas, which includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces, as well as cleaning windows and glass fixtures.


Address and resolve resident service requests, performing a variety of maintenance tasks such as painting, caulking, HVAC system repairs, lock and window/door maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, appliance servicing, preventative upkeep, and replacing light bulbs, filters, and batteries.

Oversee the exterior maintenance and visual appeal of the property, which encompasses watering plants, clearing leaves, maintaining the cleanliness of walkways, and picking up litter.

Support the maintenance team during suite turnovers and fulfill work requests, including changing light bulbs, painting, caulking, carpet cleaning, arranging furniture, and replacing HVAC filters.


Participate in after-hours maintenance coverage as Facilities Maintenance Associates are part of an on-call rotation to manage service requests outside regular business hours.

Handle property emergencies that may occur after hours, such as flooding, fire incidents, or power outages.

Ensure snow removal responsibilities are met, keeping the property accessible and safe during winter weather conditions.

Qualifications for Facilities Maintenance Associates at AVE:
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following minimum qualifications:

1. A minimum of one to two years of experience in maintenance and/or cleaning services.

Essential Maintenance Skills:
- Proficiency in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and appliance repairs.

- Strong customer service skills.

- A proactive, energetic, and positive attitude.

- High standards of cleanliness and presentation.

- Reliable transportation for on-call duties and emergency situations.

Compensation

$21-$25/hour


Compensation decisions will vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, and location.

AVE also provides opportunities for additional bonuses, which may be awarded monthly or quarterly, depending on the position and are separate from the base compensation range.
