Role Summary:

We are in search of a meticulous and seasoned Lead Financial Accountant to become a vital part of our team. The successful candidate will possess at least 5 years of experience in the preparation of financial statements and a robust grasp of accounting principles. Familiarity with SAGE 100 is advantageous. This position is based in our office and offers a competitive salary along with opportunities for professional growth.

Key Duties:

  • Prepare, analyze, and present comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring precision and adherence to GAAP standards.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
  • Compile and submit timely and accurate financial reports to management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process.
  • Utilize SAGE 100 for accounting functions, if applicable.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, particularly in financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software; experience with SAGE 100 is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
