Job Summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Medicine team. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our athletes and patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outreach athletic training and duties as assigned, including event and practice coverage, preventative practice, and athletic training room coverage.
  • Develop and implement educational programs to promote healthy lifestyles and injury prevention among athletes and patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to patients with athletic-related injuries or conditions.
  • Supervise and mentor supportive clinical personnel, including aides and students, to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in teaching and research activities to advance the field of athletic training and sports medicine.

Requirements

  • Completion of an approved education program in athletic training and/or related health science field.
  • State of Ohio Athletic Trainer license and BOC certification (Board of Certification).
  • Two to three years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic/sports medicine facility, with previous experience working with athletic populations.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
