About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Athletic Trainer to join our team at Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Patient Care: Work directly with patients to assess, manage, and treat athletic injuries and conditions, ensuring the highest level of care and compassion.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work under the supervision of physicians and physician assistants to develop and implement treatment plans, conduct diagnostic studies, and provide rehabilitation education to patients.
  • Conduct Physical Examinations: Perform thorough physical examinations, including strength and range of motion testing, to identify and diagnose injuries and conditions.
  • Develop and Implement Rehabilitation Plans: Create and provide personalized rehabilitation education to patients, including exercises, stretches, and other interventions to promote recovery and optimal function.
  • Communicate Effectively: Maintain open and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care and coordination.
Requirements
  • Certification and Licensure: Possess certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers (Athletic Training Certification - ATC) and licensure by the State of Ohio Occupational, Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Board.
  • Experience and Skills: Previous experience working with athletic populations is preferred, but not required. Possess high-level interpersonal skills, analytical ability, and critical thinking to gather and interpret data and develop solutions.
