Who you are: We seek an experienced Critical Care Technician to work our swing shift from Wednesday to Saturday.
You will serve as the essential support to our veterinarians, ensuring the highest level of care and comfort for our clients' cherished pets. Your dedication and passion for enhancing lives through superior pet care are vital. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for critical cases, consistently assessing the patient.
- Calculate CRIs and deliver advanced hospitalization care.
- Conduct in-house laboratory tests.
- Demonstrate proficiency in IV catheter placement.
- Conduct thorough and accurate patient rounds.
- Ensure safe restraint for anxious and fractious patients.
- Obtain TPRs, maintain medical records, and recognize when to alert the DVM.
- Advocate for both the patient and the client.
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the veterinary field.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and clients, demonstrating tact, patience, and professionalism.
- An active CA state RVT license is preferred but not mandatory.
- 4/10 schedule from Wednesday to Saturday, Swing Shift 12pm-10pm.
- A $3 hourly shift differential is offered for swing shifts.
- Pay range: RVT $30 - $40 /hr, VA $26 - $34/hr.
